About Text Summarizer

Paste up to 4,000 characters. There is no URL fetch on this page. Pick a shape: one paragraph, five bullets, or a one-to-two sentence TL;DR. The summary leads with the most important point, not necessarily the first sentence of the source.

Numbers and dates have to already be in the paste. The summary should not invent or calculate a missing figure. Relative phrases stay relative. Figures that cannot be matched to the source are removed.

The result shows source words, summary words, and length as a percentage of the source. Bullet mode renders a list. Use the copy as notes. Cite the original if you publish from it.

How to use Text Summarizer

  1. 1Paste the source. Up to 4,000 characters. For a PDF, copy the text first, then paste a slice that fits.
  2. 2Pick a shape. Paragraph for a compact block. Five bullets for a scannable list. TL;DR for one or two sentences.
  3. 3Click Summarize. The result appears below with source words, summary words, and length percent.
  4. 4Skim against the original. Confirm names and numbers. Use the copy as notes, not as a stand-in for a source you must cite.

Limits and privacy

Only pasted text is sent to OpenRouter. This tool does not fetch a page. Two summaries per hour here, ten across AI tools, by IP. If OpenRouter is busy, that run does not count. aiaq.io does not keep the paste.

FAQs

Can I enter a URL instead of pasting the article?
No. Paste the text. This page only summarises what you put in the box. SEO tools on this site fetch public URLs.
What is the difference between Paragraph, 5 bullets, and TL;DR?
Paragraph returns one compact block. Five bullets returns a short list, with the most important point first. TL;DR returns one or two sentences.
Will it invent a date or a dollar amount?
It should not. Numbers and dates have to appear in the paste. Figures that cannot be matched to the source are removed. Still check names and numbers before you rely on the summary.
How do I summarise a PDF?
Copy the text from the file, or use PDF to Text, then paste up to 4,000 characters. This summarizer does not open files.
What does the length percentage mean?
Summary words as a share of source words. It is a size check, not a quality score.
