About Split PDF
Drop one PDF and pick a split mode. Each page writes one PDF per page. Every N pages groups the document into chunks of that size, with a smaller last file if needed. From-to lets you add rows: each row is one output file with that page span.
If the split produces more than one file, they download as a zip. A single output downloads as a PDF. From and to cannot go past the last page. Scanned pages still split; they remain images.
How to use Split PDF
- 1Drop one PDF. Thumbnails load in the browser.
- 2Choose a split mode. Each page, every N pages, or from-to spans. Add extra from-to rows for more output files.
- 3Click Split PDF. Each piece is named with its page numbers.
- 4Download. A zip if there is more than one file. Preview a piece in the viewer first if you want.
Limits and privacy
The PDF never leaves your device. Each file can be 25MB on a phone or 50MB on a desktop. No account. Password-protected files cannot be opened. Closing the tab clears the file.

- What is the difference between the three modes?
- Each page writes one PDF per page. Every N pages writes groups of N (the last group can be shorter). From-to writes one PDF per row, using that start and end page.
- When do several outputs download as a zip?
- When the split produces two or more files. One output downloads as a single PDF.
- Can a from-to row skip pages or overlap another row?
- Each row is its own file. Rows can overlap or leave gaps. Pages you omit are simply not in any output.
- How is Split different from Extract Pages?
- Split can produce many files (or a zip). Extract Pages keeps the selected pages in one PDF.
- Do scanned pages split?
- Yes. Each page is still an image. Split does not run OCR.
